The guides on this site are written by the staff of shisha bar IORI for people looking for accurate, verifiable information about hookah (shisha). This policy was set on 25 September 2026.
Two kinds of articles
- Explainers cover general knowledge: how hookah works, flavors, pricing, health and the law in Japan. They are written to be independent of any one venue. Store-specific information in explainers is kept in a short box at the end of the article body. Japanese columns also show a separate publisher introduction card near the beginning.
- About the bar articles describe what makes shisha bar IORI different, such as the manga library, the work-friendly daytime and access from nearby stations. Their titles include the bar’s name.
Sources
- Facts come from public bodies (Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Consumer Affairs Agency, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the US CDC and FDA, the WHO and others), the law (e-Gov), drug labels, official railway and municipal information, manufacturers’ official sites and specialist media.
- Every article lists the sources it used under “References”, with links.
- We do not write what we cannot verify in a primary source, and we do not fill gaps with guesses.
- We do not compare prices or services with other venues.
