Dinner is done, the first bar is getting loud, and nobody is ready to call it a night. If you’re around Shibuya and looking for somewhere calmer to keep the evening going, shisha bar IORI is a short train ride away — and on Friday and Saturday nights we stay open until 5 AM.
Open late, one short ride from Shibuya
shisha bar IORI is in Gakugei-daigaku, about 7 minutes from Shibuya on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, and just 30 seconds from the station’s East Exit. It’s an easy hop for a second (or third) stop of the night.
Our opening hours:
- Tue–Thu: 3 PM – 1:30 AM (last order 12 AM)
- Fri: 3 PM – 5 AM (last order 3:30 AM)
- Sat: 1 PM – 5 AM (last order 3:30 AM)
- Sun: 1 PM – midnight
- Public holidays: from 1 PM, until 5 AM if the next day is a weekend or holiday, otherwise until midnight. Days before holidays: until 5 AM
- Closed: Mondays (open on public holidays) and the day after a public holiday
So on Friday and Saturday nights, and the night before a public holiday, there’s no need to rush.
A calmer kind of late night
As the evening goes on, the lounge turns darker and more intimate. It’s a place to talk rather than shout: leather sofas, low light, and slow clouds of hookah smoke. It works for a catch-up with friends, the last stop of a date, or simply unwinding after a busy day.
We’re a small lounge with 10 indoor seats and 3 on the terrace, and we welcome groups of up to 6 for an after-party.
Whisky, craft gin and shisha
The bar focuses on two things that pair well with a slow session: Islay and Japanese whiskies, and a selection of distinctive Japanese craft gins. Alcoholic drinks start at ¥780, and soft drinks start at ¥580 if you’d rather keep it light.

For the shisha itself, we have more than 150 flavors, including 36 nicotine-free options, and dark leaf from DARKSIDE, MEZZA and JENT if you want something bolder. Not sure what to choose? Try our Flavor Finder or ask the staff for a suggestion.

What a late visit costs
Our seat charge is per person and depends on when you arrive:
- Before 6 PM: free
- From 6 PM: ¥500
- From 9 PM: ¥750
- From 12 AM: ¥1,000
It’s the same every day of the week. On top of that:
- Shisha: ¥2,800 per pipe (one pipe serves up to two people)
- Share charge: ¥1,500 per guest who does not have their own pipe (¥1,500 × (guests − pipes))
- Minimum order: one pipe per two guests and one drink per person
For example, two people arriving at 10 PM who share one pipe and order one drink each would pay ¥2,800 for the pipe, a ¥1,500 share charge, ¥1,500 in seat charges (¥750 each) and the price of their drinks.
Tips for a late session
- Mind the last order. On Friday and Saturday nights, last order is 3:30 AM; from Tuesday to Thursday it’s 12 AM, and on Sundays we close at midnight. Order your final pipe or drink before then.
- Pace yourself. Hookah is meant to be slow. Take gentle puffs with a pause in between, and keep a soft drink or water nearby, especially after a few drinks.
- Go lighter if you like. After a big night, a nicotine-free flavor is an easy way to keep enjoying the aroma without the extra kick.
- Take a break if you need one. If you feel light-headed, stop, rest and let the staff know.
Good to know before you come
- Ages 20+ only. Please bring photo ID — a passport is the safest choice.
- Cashless only. We take major credit cards, Apple Pay / Google Pay, Suica/PASMO and other transit IC cards, iD, QUICPay, PayPay, Alipay+ and WeChat Pay. No cash.
- English is fine. We have an English menu, and the in-store mobile ordering system supports English.
- Book ahead for groups. With only 10 indoor seats, we recommend a quick direct message on Instagram (@iori_shisha) with the date, time and number of people.
Getting here from Shibuya
Take a Local or Express train on the Tokyu Toyoko Line from Shibuya to Gakugei-daigaku (about 7 minutes on a Local; Limited Express trains don’t stop there). Leave via the East Exit and walk about 30 seconds to the Gakugei-daigaku Front ONE Building — we’re on the 3rd floor, the top floor. Look for the lit sign at the entrance.
